Answer 1

  1. Learning a language means  to practice everyday, at least and hour, with someone who knows the language at intermediate level.
  2. When it comes to learning anything new, you always need practice. This type of practice is to learn the alphabet and how to use the rules with someone who actually knows the language instead of just mimiking a person. Mimiking doesn't always work because your not learning how its spelled or even know the definition. You would just know the word verbaly. An Article I found called "Learning two Languages" says that  you can practice through hearing CD's or Language Programs to help along the way. And as always not everyone learns at the same pace but kids tend to learn it faster than others. An example I like the most is my mom, she took classes to learn english but only learned a few things and at times forgets some words. As opposed to my cousin who is only 3, is bilingual and can talk pretty well. The only thing is that he doesnt know how to spell words other than his name and learned through mimiking what other people would say.
  3. I found this website very heplful in answering my eq. http://www.asha.org/public/speech/development/BilingualChildren.htm
